bluedevil's post Nov 8, 2010 - "Interview" with the archivist at UCSC -- I commented, Note that fundraising was a crucial aspect of this job. Mr. Meriwether admits to this and says, "every archive has to do fundraising and development." Then he goes on to dodge this issue altogether. Has he been raising funds? What about fundraising for this?

The Internet Archive is never mentioned. The Archive is hosting 7805 "items" (Dead tapes) along with a Grateful Dead Forum. Could it be that because both outfits rely on fundraising [and grants], perhaps they're often competing for the same funds? Why not mention this?
